Abrasion

Abrasion spells the beginning of the end for a firearm. Abrasion, more often referred to as wear, comes from holsters while concealed carrying, entering and exiting vehicles while hunting, and general use of a firearm. Cerakote holds up twice as well as the next leading firearm finish and looks great doing it.

Corrosion

Once wear has worked through your firearms finish, it’s time for corrosion to destroy the metal below. Corrosion typically means rust, and we all know that rust spreads like wildfire. Cerakote is the most advanced finish available, but don’t take our word for it. Watch the video to see how cerakote stacks up against other finishes.

Warranty

Cerakote application is only as good as it’s applicator. Powder House has been applying Cerakote professionally since 2015. We’ve customized hundreds of firearms and take great pride in what we do. Everything we coat is backed by a lifetime guarantee to never crack, chip, peal, or flake.

Process

Powder House goes above and beyond the call of duty. When we receive a firearms/parts for coating we always follow this procedure:

  1. Firearm function test
  2. Complete disassembly
  3. Cleaning of all parts including those not being coated
  4. Detailed part inspection and notification to customer if anything is of concern.
  5. Cerakote application
  6. Professional fitting and reassembly
  7. Lubrication and function check of firearm
